Located at north Liuzhou, the Liubei District is established in 1979. With 4 counties and 8 local councils, the district is the biggest (320.03 square kilometers) suburb with the biggest population (368,100 local residents in which 84,400 are farming residents). The local sceneries include part of the Liujiang river, Queer Park, Junwu Parkland and Jiang Wan Resort.

The district is connected with its neighboring areas by the North Train Station, Baisha Bus Travel, products train station and Zhe Gu Jiang port. Level 1 highway No.209 national highway goes through 3 counties of Liubei, connecting to three other highways including Nanning-Liuzhou, Guiling-Liuzhou and Yishan-Liuzhou. With newly built Tanzhong and Shengli overpasses, the district has become a major transportation intersection in Liuzhou.
