Lately, Guangxi New Harbor Enginering Company Limited held the commencement ceremony for the B1 and B2 section of land formation construction project, the first-stage construction project of the Jiangkou Operating Zone of Lu Zhai Harbor District in Liuzhou Port, signifying the first-stage construction of Jiangkou Operating Zone is coming into practice.

The first-stage construction project of the Jiangkou Operating Zone of Lu Zhai Harbor District in Liuzhou Port, located in left side of Liujiang River, 17 kilometers from downstream of Honghua Hydro-junction, Jiangkou township, Luzhai county, was constructed and invested by Guangxi Luzhai Tongzhou Logistic Company Limited. With the total investment of 785 million yuan, the project covers an area of 501 mu (334 million square meters) and has a coastline of 501 meters. This project includes the construction of 6 berths of 2000 tons and other auxiliary facilities, among which 3 are bulk berths and the other three are multi-functional berths, making the throughout capacity up to 2,598,600 tons.

The construction and investment of this project comply with the development strategy of “Liuzhou towards the East”, contributing to centralization of resources and advantages. This project makes use of the advantages of the logistics and the functions of ports and corresponds with Liuzhou Motown, achieving complementary functions and mutual benefits, to build the national demonstration park together, promote the economic development and motivate the steady growth of local economy.
