Recently, the opening ceremony of the New Liunan Slaughter House project was held. The project is divided into two phases, and the first phase is estimated to be completed and put into operation by July, 2021.

It is understood that New Liunan Slaughter House is the major project in Liuzhou. It is located in the western side of Xi’e Road in Liunan District with an area of 66,806.95 square meters and a total investment of 272 million yuan. It enjoys 2 domestic advanced modernized pig slaughter chains and 1 cattle slaughter chain. The storing capacity of its freezer is 30,000 tons. The designed maximum slaughtering amount is 1 million (pigs and cattle) every year. The New Liunan Slaughter House project integrates the livestock slaughtering, meat processing, cold storage operation and cold chain logistics into one. For the slaughtering part, it will be built into the standardized pig slaughtering demonstration plant at national level, and also the first 4A-grade modern slaughtering plant in Liuzhou and even in Guangxi. In terms of operation, New Liunan Slaughter House will intensify the quality and security control of the whole process from pigs entering the plant to products leaving the factory, so as to guarantee the meat security from the source.
