Recently, the Competitiveness Think Tank, China Economic Herald, Beijing Zhongxin Urban Planning and Design Institute and other institutions jointly released “China’s County Tourism Competitiveness Report in 2021”, and Rongshui Miao Autonomous County once again ranked on the list of China's Top 100 Cities and Counties with Great Tourism Development Potential in 2021, ranking 71st.

In recent years, Rongshui has been successfully established into the National All-for-one Tourism Demonstration Zone, Guangxi Featured Tourism County and Guangxi Standardized Tourism Demonstration County successively. With Rongshui’s growing fame and more and more popular tourism market, tourists have been flocking here. According to statistics, in the past five years, Rongshui has received 31,308,200 domestic and foreign tourists, and tourism consumption has reached 34.597 billion yuan, with an average annual increase of 18.88% and 23.07% respectively. Through the excavation of traditional cultures such as Miao people’s Pohui Festival, Fighting Horse Festival and Fish Festival, Rongshui has elaborately created the “Ecological Folk Customs” tourist boutique route, and formed festive tourism products including Pohui Festival, Lusheng Fighting Horse Festival and Fish Festival after autumn harvest. The rural tourism characterized by diversified agriculture and tourism is highlighted, with natural and cultural landscapes blended with each other.
