Lately, a train for overhead lines maintenance of Liuzhou power supply section was running between Pingliao Station and Laobao Station of Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway. More than 60 workers simultaneously conducted a comprehensive acceptance inspection of the overhead line equipment in the section, which meant that the three-year electrification renovation project of Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway was about to be completed.

It is said that the acceptance inspection work of the overhead lines is the last process before the lines are electrified. The acceptance inspection work of the overhead lines will be completed on September 3. After the acceptance inspection of the overhead lines is approved, the electric locomotive will be deployed on the line for cold-running and hot-running tests and joint equipment adjustments and tests. After related experiments, the Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway is scheduled to be officially operated on September 30 after the electrification renovation. After the electrification renovation of Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway is completed, the pulling tonnage of locomotives will be increased from 3,800 tons to 5,000 tons, and the annual transmission capacity of the line can be increased by 10 million tons, an increase of 22%. In terms of energy conservation and environmental protection, electric locomotives on the Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway will replace diesel locomotives, saving over 20,000 tons of diesel annually and over 60 million yuan in expenditure.
