SAIC-GM-Wuling becomes best-selling national brand

It’s understood recently from SAIC-GM-Wuling that in 2020, it sold 1.6 million vehicles, achieving 9 months of consecutive growth up to December, 2019. For the past year, it has not only become the best-selling national brand, but also won recognition of over 23 million users, the biggest group of users among domestic vehicle companies.
According to statistics, in 2020, the Wuling brand under SAIC-GM-Wuling sold more than 1.17 million vehicles, achieving 9 months of consecutive growth; the New Baojun brand sold 154 thousand vehicles, up by 70% compared to those of the same period in 2019; the number of new energy vehicles sold was 174 thousand, a growth rate of 190% compared to that of the same period in 2019, achieving 10 months of consecutive growth. It has also made breakthroughs in the overseas market. In 2020, the number of its whole-vehicle and component exports reached 77 thousand, with a revenue of 3.46 billion yuan, covering 40 countries in Central and South America, Africa and South-east Asia. Baojun 530 was sold in 21 foreign countries, with its export volume ranking one of the best among made-in-China SUVs, and Baojun 510 made its debut in South America.
