Recently, the Yangliu Xinju Economically Affordable Housing Residential Quarter, located east of Liuchang Road and northwest of Shatang Industrial Park, shows a livable and harmonious scene. According to property management personnel of the residential quarter, there are 2,147 houses over there and about 1,700 houses have been delivered.

It is known as a microcosm of Liuzhou City's vigorous implementation of affordable housing projects, which actively solves the housing problem of the people in need. In recent years, Liuzhou has actively promoted the transformation of shantytowns, and adopted the method of simultaneous physical security of public rental housing and rental subsidies to effectively solve the housing difficulty of urban residents in Liuzhou. According to statistics, during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Liuzhou has started the renovation of 54,911 houses in shantytown renovation projects in total, with 25,098 houses basically completed and 20,584 public rental houses allocated and occupied. In February of this year, Liuzhou became one of the 10 cities that the country had decided to encourage and support for shantytown-renovating work in 2020.
