Recently, at the Smart Lean Manufacturing Factory of the SAIC-GM-Wuling Baojun Base, robots were seen efficiently assembling cars.
It could be seen that the factory broke away from the mode of production on the traditional assembly line. Several robots, forming a group in a circle, looked like working in an "island", aided by automated logistics vehicles that continuously supplied them with parts. Cars were rapidly assembled via this innovative method. This factory integrates lean manufacturing with parallel flexible production, island-style modular assembly, industrial internet and digital management, and uses industrial AI to enhance the overall logistical efficiency and customized production capacity. The investment for this production model project was approximately 1.1 billion yuan, providing new momentum to Liuzhou's "One Two Five" engineering project and its aim to become a global hub for the new energy vehicle industry.
