Recently, in the clementine orchards of Nadang Village, Sipai Town, Luzhai County, Liuzhou, farmers were busy harvesting, sorting, and loading fruits. Similar bustling scenes are evident at fruit buying stations outside the orchards, where workers pack the washed fruits for transport across the country in refrigerated trucks.
It is known that the recent online popularity of 11 kids with the nickname of "little clementines" from Guangxi has once again brought national attention to Guangxi's fruits. Topics including “Rong'an Kumquats as big as eggs” have surged to the top of the Internet search list. Under this "traffic effect", orders for specialty fruits from some townships in Liuzhou have significantly increased, making farmers busier in harvesting fruits. Liuzhou's fruit production in 2023 was about 1.5116 million tons, with citrus fruits like Rong'an Kumquats, clementines, honey mandarins, and orah mandarins being predominant. Specialty fruits including Rong'an Kumquats, Liucheng Honey Mandarins, and clementines have already hit the market.
