Rongshuisan Bridge over the Rongjiang River opens temporarily for convenient travel of the public.
The new bridge and the new road connect the north and south banks of the river, optimizing the road network within the county and the district. On February 17th, the reporter saw at the construction site of the Rongshuisan Bridge project in Rongshui Miao Autonomous County that the temporary opening of the new bridge and the new road during the Spring Festival has made it much more convenient for the public to travel and also eased the traffic pressure in the county during the Spring Festival. Starting from February 18th, the project will be closed for construction purpose again and is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in June of this year.
It is reported that the Rongshuisan Bridge project has a total length of 1891.645 meters and is divided into a connecting road at the north bank, a connecting road at the south bank, and a cross-river bridge. The cross-river bridge is 515 meters long and has four lanes in both directions.
“At present, the overall project has been completed by 80%, and the cross-river bridge has been fully completed. It will be closed again on February 18th, with the asphalt pavement of the north-south connecting road of the bridge being laid, non-motorized vehicle lanes, drainage engineering, greening engineering, lighting engineering, and related supporting facilities being constructed, ” introduced by project leader Chen Xinglin.
After the opening of the Rongshuisan Bridge project, the Shuidong New Area of Rongshui Miao Autonomous County and the Chengbei Area will be directly connected, thus shortening the travel distance between the two areas, further improving the regional road network layout, and alleviating the traffic pressure around the county. At the same time, the project can play a promoting role in the urbanization construction of the county.
