No charging pile is needed-- a 20-minute charge powers a 300-kilometer drive. What kind of “innovative device” is this? On August 1, at the axle plant of Liuzhou Wuling Automobile Industry Co., Ltd., reporters saw rows of new energy vehicle “Power Banks” being fitted with exterior components, ready to be delivered nationwide to provide charging services.

The “Power Bank” is rectangular in shape, measuring 2 meters in length, 0.94 meters in width, and 1.96 meters in height, with a weight of 2 tons. Known as a mobile charging robot, it has already been put into use in scenarios such as the Mount Putuo scenic area and coal mines in Ordos.

“Customers simply scan a code, enter their parking space number, and the charging robot automatically arrives at the spot to start charging-- fast and convenient,” said Li Longjie, General Manager of the Autonomous Driving Business at Guangxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd. He explained that the mobile charging robot demonstrates its advantages during peak travel periods on expressways over holidays, as well as in locations such as shopping malls and residential communities where space is limited. It can quickly and conveniently recharge vehicles, addressing customer concerns over the difficulty of finding charging piles and the long occupancy times they often involve. At present, Guangxi Automobile Group is planning a mobile charging scenario for electric heavy-duty trucks operating between Laibin and Litang. Once implemented, it will be able to meet the daily charging needs of 100 electric heavy trucks in logistics transportation.

The company has already deployed unmanned patrol vehicles, driverless logistics vehicles within factory zones, and shuttle buses at its production base in Liudong New District. Looking ahead, the company will continue to explore new market applications, increase the deployment of charging robots and logistics vehicles, and further expand the benefits of scenario-based operations.

It is learned that the unmanned inspection vehicle jointly developed by Guangxi Automobile Group and Guangxi Hongxin adopts an advanced domestic L4-level intelligent driving technology solution. Equipped with integrated sensing technology combining laser, vision, and GPS-based high-precision mapping, it can operate stably around the clock, across all scenarios, and even in extreme conditions such as heavy rain and nighttime. The intelligent driving system has already been installed in more than 5,000 vehicles, which have collectively logged over 8 million kilometers of safe operation.

On that day, at the RT-Mart (Liunan Branch) parking lot, the mobile charging robot launched by Guangxi Automobile Group attracted residents to experience it, thanks to its short charging time, low noise, and high efficiency.
