The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor “Liuzhou-Qinzhou-ASEAN” rail-sea intermodal train loaded with 56 standard container car parts departed at 10:30 yesterday at Liuzhou Railway Port. After arriving at Qinzhou Port, it will be loaded onto the ship and delivered to Malaysia.
On the same day, the “Liuzhou Inland Port of Beibu Gulf Port” was unveiled, marking the official inclusion of Liuzhou Railway Port into the Beibu Gulf Port Inland Port system. It will effectively expand the service coverage of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor rail-sea intermodal trains, and build a more convenient international logistics channel for goods “Made in Liuzhou” to further explore the ASEAN market.
In recent years, in order to meet the rapidly growing export demands for automotive spare parts in Liuzhou, China Railway Nanning Group has fully utilized the advantages of railway transportation characterized by “large capacity, low cost, around-the-clock, and green environmental protection”, continuously optimized transportation organization, set up the “Liuzhou-Qinzhou” train line, and launched automotive spare part freight trains at designated times every week, laying the foundation for the effective connection of “train + freight liner”. From January to October this year, the Liuzhou-Qinzhou rail-sea intermodal transportation network completed 8,424 TEUs of auto parts.
Zhou Yan, Deputy General Manager of Beibu Gulf Port Group, pointed out that the group will improve the multimodal transport system, enhance the comprehensive efficiency of multimodal transport, and attract more Liuzhou goods to use Beibu Gulf Port. At the same time, Beibu Gulf Port Logistics Company under the group will focus on traditional industries such as automobile, steel and machinery, emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, and characteristic industries such as Luosifen and sugar industry in Liuzhou to customize professional logistics services for enterprises in Liuzhou and build economic and convenient logistics channels.
Zhao Xiaobin, Deputy General Manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., introduced that since the beginning of this year, the company has joined forces with various parties to create a new go-global model, achieving historic breakthroughs in port pre-storage and container pre-loading. The company will continue to explore with all relevant parties to enable goods “Made in Liuzhou” to enter ASEAN and the rest of the world through rail-sea intermodal transportation.
It is reported that the smooth operation of the “Liuzhou-Qinzhou-ASEAN” rail-sea intermodal train has extended the service coverage of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor rail-sea intermodal trains to more ASEAN countries, effectively connecting the logistics chain of “Liuzhou-Qinzhou-ASEAN”, achieving efficient connection of goods from Liuzhou to ASEAN, effectively reducing logistics costs, and facilitating cross-border trade.
