Liuzhou is a city of civilization, and is even more a city of people's well-being. In 2025, Liuzhou was awarded the title of the 7th batch of National Civilized City and won the "Ten Consecutive Championships" as a National Double-Support Model City. The ethnic intangible cultural heritage show "Red Pomegranate in the Dragon City", the dance "Champion Water", the skit "Welcome to My Home", and the narration "About Us", each program in the first segment of the gala carefully compiled exciting video clips, presenting warm memories and strides of progress from the past year, showcasing the beauty of ethnic unity, ecological environment, and urban-rural development in Liuzhou. The chorus "People's City", with the lyrics "The people's city strides forward, the city's people rush forth, using meticulous efforts, drawing a blueprint for civilization...", highly praising the vivid practice of "A City Built by the People and for the People".
In 2025, Liuzhou successfully achieved a significant milestone in its transition from old to new, with economic development demonstrating a positive trend characterized by steady progress and improvement. The regional GDP experienced a growth rate of 6.2%, marking a return to the 300-billion-yuan threshold. As Liuzhou embarks on the new journey outlined in the "15th Five-Year Plan", it is imperative to remain committed to emancipating the mind, demonstrating boldness in assuming responsibilities, upholding integrity while fostering innovation, and striving comprehensively to establish ten modernized pillar industries. Furthermore, efforts must be intensified to accelerate the development of a "10+N" modern industrial system, thereby laying a solid foundation for achieving a robust start to the "15th Five-Year Plan".
The musical short play "Industrial Power" artistically portrays the arduous journey of struggle in Liuzhou, vividly capturing the dynamic spirit of industrial transformation and advancement. The performance, titled "The Glory of Struggle", features Zheng Zhiming and Pang Qiwen, winners of the title "Great Country Craftsmen", who join representatives from "10+N" key industrial chain enterprises on stage to celebrate the ethos of craftsmanship and the patriotic commitment to serving the nation through industry. The second segment, "Upholding Integrity and Innovative Transformation", highlights Liuzhou's steadfast confidence and resolute determination to expedite the progress of new industrialization, foster new-quality productivity, and establish itself as a robust manufacturing highland.
The gala concluded successfully, with the entire audience joining in the rendition of "Unity is Strength". All 12 performances featured in the gala were original creations from Liuzhou, serving not only as a carefully curated cultural feast presented by Liuzhou's publicity and ideological departments for its residents but also as a compelling call to action aimed at fostering unity and igniting enthusiasm. The event inspired the people of Liuzhou to remain steadfast in their goals and to advance resolutely into the new year, striving with unwavering dedication to contribute to a new chapter in the pursuit of Chinese-style modernization within Liuzhou.
